The Moroccan national team is undergoing an intensive training session as part of its ongoing preparatory camp, in preparation for finalizing the “Atlas Lions” final list participating in the 2026 World Cup finals. The training sessions held today, Sunday, at the Mohamed VI Football Complex, focused on tactical and physical aspects, under the supervision of coach Mohammed Wahbi, aiming to raise the technical readiness level of the players and provide the best conditions before the start of the global competitions.
These intensive preparations come within the framework of the training camp running from May 22 to 26, mainly aimed at a comprehensive evaluation of the players’ physical and technical readiness. The Moroccan national team’s technical staff seeks to give an opportunity to a number of promising players to showcase their abilities, before announcing the final list that will represent Morocco in the World Cup. This camp is considered the cornerstone for selecting the most balanced and strong lineup to participate in this important sporting event.
In the same context, the “Atlas Lions” will face Burundi in a decisive friendly match the day after tomorrow, Tuesday, to be held at the Mohamed VI Football Complex without spectators, to test the players’ technical readiness and implement new tactical plans. Coach Mohammed Wahbi is expected to announce the final selected list of the Moroccan national team participating in the World Cup the day after tomorrow, Tuesday, at 7 PM (19:00 GMT+1) at the conference hall of the Mohamed VI Football Complex.
