Raja CA achieved a valuable away win against their host Olympic Dcheira with a 1-0 score in the match held yesterday evening Sunday at Adrar Stadium in Agadir, corresponding to the 21st round of the Professional League competition, thus the Green Eagles temporarily topped the standings.
The “Green Eagles” ended the first half leading with a 1-0 goal scored by the Jordanian striker Mohammad Faisal Abu Zuraik, nicknamed “Sharara”, in the first minute of injury time (45+1), after a first half marked by a strong tactical battle between the two teams.
The excessive heat factor noticeably affected the physical performance of the players from both teams during the second half, leading to a decrease in pace and only timid attempts.
In the 90+4 minute, a red card was issued to Raja CA’s forward Ismail Khafi after receiving his second yellow card.
Despite the home team’s continuous efforts to equalize, Raja’s defense maintained its cohesion and resilience, ending the match with Raja CA’s 1-0 victory.
Thanks to this valuable victory, Raja CA rose to the top of the Professional League temporarily, raising their points to 42, while Olympic Dcheira’s points remained at 18, staying in 13th place in the standings.
Raja CA aims to maintain this position and extend their lead in the upcoming rounds.
