The “Imazighen” faction, supporters of Hassania Agadir Club, sent a direct and strong message to Aziz Akhannouch, the club’s supporter and official sponsor, sharply criticizing the management of the team’s affairs in recent years and demanding radical reform. In its detailed statement, the faction pointed out that the financial support provided by Akhannouch helped resolve many financial crises and pending contracts, but the current phase requires a comprehensive review of the management style, warning against the dominance of “improvisation” and prioritizing personal interests over the supreme interest of the Souss team.
The statement recalled the historical role of Hassania Agadir Club, noting the late Hajj Ahmed Akhannouch’s contribution to establishing the club during the colonial period, where the club played a national role alongside the resistance movement, later becoming a sporting symbol representing the Souss region and its people. The “Imazighen” faction criticized the absence of “rationalization” in the club’s management, warning of the ongoing athletic and administrative decline threatening the team’s status, despite the considerable financial resources injected annually, emphasizing that this decline is inconsistent with the club’s heritage and history.
The “Imazighen” faction also firmly rejected any partisan interference or calculations in the selection of managing boards, calling for the responsibility to be entrusted to competencies capable of formulating a clear sports project and implementing it on the ground. The faction concluded its statement by emphasizing the importance of selecting the most suitable individuals in the upcoming elections to restore Hassania Agadir Club to its right track and save it from the cycle of negative results and repeated crises it currently suffers from, to regain its former status as one of the leading clubs.
