The Moroccan-Cameroonian national team for under 17 years faces Egypt today, Tuesday, in their third match in the group stage of the African U17 Nations Cup “CAN” Morocco 2026.

Last Monday, “the Cubs” completed their preparations for the highly anticipated match at the Mohammed VI Football Complex.

The training sessions were marked by discipline and responsibility, with a strong desire to secure victory and take the lead in Group A, which would guarantee qualification without complicated calculations.

The Moroccan team is striving to deliver a strong performance that confirms its readiness to compete.

Coach Tiago Lima Pereira focused on the psychological aspect to boost the morale of “the Cubs” to perform well against the “Sons of the Pharaohs” and achieve a positive result.

He also worked on strengthening the attack while maintaining balance between the lines and fortifying the defense, aiming to reduce the effectiveness of the Egyptian team, which currently shares the top spot with the Moroccan-Cameroonian team.

It is noteworthy that the national team has four points, earned from a draw against Tunisia and a win over Ethiopia, placing them in a good position before this decisive match that will determine the group leader and one of the first qualifiers on merit, thus completing the Moroccan-Cameroonian team’s journey towards the final rounds.
