This important sporting event will determine the path for 48 African national teams, including the host countries Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, towards the finals hosted by these nations.
The draw ceremony for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM Cairo time, where participating teams will be distributed into different groups, outlining the qualification roadmap for the 24 teams that will take part in the continent’s biggest football event.
These qualifiers represent a crucial stage for teams aspiring to achieve their dream of competing for the African title, as everyone competes for this goal.
The matches will be played over three separate periods within the international calendar approved by FIFA.
The first and second matchdays will take place from September 21 to October 6, 2026, followed by the third and fourth matchdays from November 9 to 17, 2026, and the qualifiers will conclude with the fifth and sixth matchdays from March 22 to 30, 2027, in preparation for the finals from June 19 to July 17, 2027.
