Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, firmly denied today, Wednesday, the rumors recently circulating about his health, affirming that his health is “perfect” and that he continues to successfully lead his club and companies.
This decisive denial from Pérez came during a press conference held to respond to news reports claiming he was suffering from a serious illness, where he emphasized that such news is completely baseless.
During the conference, the Real Madrid president explained that a “senseless situation” had been created against both the club and himself personally, noting that some people exploit any team setbacks to attack him.
He continued by saying: “Some are asking: Where is Florentino? Because I don’t speak much. And some have said I am sick or suffering from late-stage cancer.”
Pérez reassured all his supporters, confirming his ongoing presidency of the club and his companies which achieve annual transaction volumes of up to 50 billion euros.
Florentino Pérez affirmed that the widespread rumors are not true, saying firmly and clearly: “If I really had cancer, I would be in a cancer treatment center, and the news would spread worldwide. This is not true, but the rumor grew and spread.”
This statement comes to put an end to speculation and to confirm the stable health condition of the president of one of the world’s biggest clubs, Florentino Pérez of Real Madrid.
