Gianni Infantino, President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), officially announced the selection of Rabat to host the 77th FIFA electoral congress.
The conference is expected to witness the participation of around 2,000 people representing 211 national football associations from around the world, highlighting the great importance of this international football event.
This selection came after unanimous approval from FIFA Council members during their meeting in Vancouver, Canada, on Thursday, confirming the strong confidence in Morocco’s ability to organize major events.
Rabat will host the FIFA electoral general assembly on March 18, 2026, marking the second time the kingdom has hosted this event, after hosting the ordinary general assembly in Marrakech in 2005.
