According to several press reports, including one published today by the site “AfricaFoot,” the young Moroccan defender Ismail Baouf has rejected two official offers from the Saudi club Al-Nassr and the French club Red Star.
The 19-year-old player prefers to continue his football career in the major European leagues.
Baouf studied the two offers presented to him over the past few days, but decided to reject them after seeing that moving to less competitive leagues or outside Europe does not align with his current sporting ambitions.
Although Al-Nassr’s financial offer was attractive, Baouf preferred to focus on a sports project that guarantees his technical and tactical development within a strong competitive environment in Europe.
The Moroccan player informed the management of his current club, Dutch club Cambuur, of his desire to stay within the European continent, with a preference to join one of the major clubs in the future.
Baouf continues to deliver impressive performances this season, making him the focus of many European clubs closely monitoring his development, benefiting from his defensive solidity and ability to build play.
Ismail Baouf is considered one of the most prominent emerging Moroccan talents, having previously contributed to the national under-20 team’s triumph at the Youth World Cup in Chile.
His decision to reject the current offers confirms his maturity and desire to build a strong professional career at the highest levels of European football.
