Today, the management board of Raja Club is discussing an innovative initiative aimed at honoring the former players who wrote the history of Raja Club in golden letters during the current football season. This step reflects the administration’s keenness to appreciate past contributions and strengthen ties between the different generations of the club, as part of the club’s efforts to preserve its heritage and document its relationship with its icons.
Press reports reveal that a proposal has been made to allocate honorary seats for these players in the stands of the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca during the matches that the green team will play at home. This idea aims to invite a constellation of past stars to regularly attend matches, allowing them to stay close to the club and feel continuous appreciation for their pivotal role in building Raja Club’s history.
The core objective of this initiative is to renew the bonds of what is called the “Raja Family” and strengthen the ties between all its components. It is a symbolic gesture, yet it carries much gratitude and recognition for the great efforts these players have made over the ages, which contributed to shaping the club’s identity and achieving its major accomplishments.
The club confirms that the idea is still under study and discussion, and a final formula for its implementation is expected to be reached within the coming days. Coordination and consultation will be made with the Raja Former Players Association, the club’s management board, and the sports company to ensure the initiative is executed in the best possible manner to meet everyone’s aspirations and preserve the status of these legends.
It is noteworthy that Raja Club is preparing to open its football season with a match against Nahdat Athletic Zemamra next Saturday at the Mohammed V Complex, as part of the second round of the professional championship “Inwi,” after the postponement of the opening classic match against the Royal Army.
