This assurance was intended to reassure fans following reports about the player suffering repeated falls during recent friendly matches, which raised concerns about his future on the field. The Bavarian club emphasizes that there are currently no indicators that inspire pessimism regarding the German international’s ability to continue delivering his best performances.
Musiala, aged twenty-three, experienced a sudden fall in the friendly match between Bayern Munich and Heidenheim on Tuesday, the same incident repeated three days earlier in the match against Leipzig. In both cases, the player received the necessary treatment for a short period before leaving the field. Musiala himself revealed via his social media accounts that he suffers from “short and temporary fainting spells that can be well treated,” confirming that these spells are caused by a neurological disorder.
These fainting spells are considered a form of epilepsy attacks, leading to temporary loss of consciousness or connection with reality, and may appear as a fixed stare or temporary absence of perception. Bayern Munich reassured everyone that Musiala’s participation in the two friendly matches came after extensive discussions with doctors, and did not cause any additional medical problems for the player. Musiala also confirmed that he is receiving “the best medical care,” expressing strong optimism about his future.
The young Bayern Munich player added that his club, family, and friends stand by him and support him during this difficult phase, stressing that “the important thing is that there is no additional risk to my health.” Despite these reassurances, the Bavarian club initially did not provide clear information about Musiala’s fate during the new football season.
