Morocco Prepares for 2026 World Cup with Crucial March Friendlies

The Moroccan national football team is gearing up for two significant preparatory matches during the upcoming March international break. These fixtures are integral to their intensive preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The technical staff aims to assess the squad’s readiness before embarking on the global competition.

Morocco to Face Ecuador in Madrid

The national team is scheduled to play its first friendly against Ecuador on March 27, 2026. The match will take place at the Cívitas Metropolitano stadium in the Spanish capital, Madrid. This evening encounter is anticipated to draw a significant crowd.

Second Friendly Against Paraguay in France

In their second fixture, Morocco will confront Paraguay on March 31, 2026, at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Lens, France. This match against another South American opponent will provide the technical staff with an additional opportunity to evaluate the team’s performance against diverse footballing styles.

These two friendlies are designed to test various tactical approaches, assess the preparedness of both key and reserve players, and offer new talents a chance to prove their capabilities before the final squad for the upcoming World Cup is confirmed.
