Rabat – Africa Cup of Nations 2025

The Moroccan national team concluded its preparations on Thursday evening for the anticipated match against Mali, scheduled for Friday evening at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. This fixture is part of the second round of group stage matches in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Morocco vs. Mali match is a Group A encounter, with high hopes pinned on securing early qualification for the next round, fueled by the significant ambitions surrounding the Atlas Lions’ participation in the continental tournament.

Focused and Disciplined Final Training Session

The final training session was conducted in a serious and focused atmosphere. The technical staff finalized tactical aspects, emphasizing cohesion between lines and rapid response to in-game transitions.

During this session, the players demonstrated excellent physical and mental readiness, reflecting a collective desire to build on the positive results achieved in their opening match victory.

Saïss’s Status and Hakimi’s Presence

Defender Romain Saïss underwent individual training as part of his rehabilitation program, without participating in the full team session, pending a final evaluation of his health status.

Conversely, Achraf Hakimi and Hamza Igamane joined the collective training with the rest of the squad, providing the technical staff with additional options ahead of the Morocco vs. Mali match.

Rising Readiness and Ambition to Secure Qualification

The Moroccan national team aims to achieve a positive result that guarantees early qualification, thereby alleviating pressure from calculations in the final group stage match, especially with anticipated fan support at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

The match is expected to be highly competitive, given the strength of the Malian team, necessitating that the Atlas Lions maintain focus and discipline throughout the encounter.
